Does pharmacologic theraphy seems to be inadequate to your acne problems? Do you want to know simple skin care regimens in eliminating acne? In addition to following instructions for taking prescribed medications, individuals who suffer from acne vulgaris should also keep an eye on the steps below.

First, keep your skin fresh and clean. This is important part of your skin care regimen. Wash your face and other affected areas with hypoallergenic or mild soap and water twice each day to remove surface oils on skin and prevent obstruction of the pores and oil glands. Clogged pores are the main antecedent of blackheads and pimples.

Second, avoid scrubbing the face. Remember that dirt is not the culprit of acne and thus, cannot be washed away. Avoid excessive application of friction when using drying agents and abrasive soaps. These products may eliminate the oily feeling but can also cause minute scratches on the skin surface and may increase bacterial contamination.

Next, avoid propping the hands against the face. Our hands accomodate all kinds of germs and bacteria in the environment, thus, contaminating your face when touched. Avoid rubbing the face as well as wearing helmets and tight collars. Wear well-fitted clothes and accesories to provide adequate airing to skin.

Furthermore, avoid manipulation of blackheads and acne breakouts. Though you find this unpleasant to your appearance, please control yourself. Stop squeezing your pimples as this merely worsens the problem. When a pimple is pushed, a part of the blackhead is pressed down into the skin causing a rupture to the follicle.

In addition, avoid shaving creams, lotions and harsh cosmetics that can aggravate acne. Always read the labels and consult a dermatologist before using skin products.

Aside from the above skin care regimen, eating nutritious diet is a must. Maintaining a strong immune system by proper nutrition and getting adequate rest will be a plus factor to eliminate acne problems.
